Penerapan Permainan Tradisional dalam Meningkatkan Interaksi Sosial Anak Usia Dini
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of traditional games in enhancing social interaction among early childhood children using a qualitative approach through a literature review method. This method allows the researcher to explore, describe, and analyze in-depth the social phenomena arising from the implementation of traditional games in early childhood education settings, without conducting experiments or statistical generalizations. Data sources include early childhood education textbooks, scholarly articles, national and international journals, as well as official documents related to curriculum and traditional play activities. The findings indicate that traditional games such as congklak, hopscotch, gobak sodor, and jump rope serve as effective social learning media. These activities promote communication skills, cooperation, empathy, emotional regulation, negotiation, and understanding of social norms. Systematic implementation, including age-appropriate game selection, role assignment, teacher facilitation, and post-play reflection, enhances the effectiveness of children's social interactions. The study confirms that traditional games are not merely recreational activities but serve as a holistic pedagogical strategy for developing children's social, emotional, and collaborative skills sustainably.
