Pengembangan Kreativitas Anak melalui Kegiatan Kolase di Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini
Abstract
This study aims to explore the development of creativity in early childhood through collage activities in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Collage activities were selected because they integrate children’s motor, cognitive, social, and emotional skills holistically while stimulating divergent thinking, imagination, and self-expression. The study employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method, examining books, journals, scholarly articles, and relevant educational documents. Descriptive-qualitative analysis was conducted to understand strategies, methods, and the impact of collage activities on children’s creativity. The findings indicate that collage activities provide children with opportunities to explore materials, colors, shapes, and textures freely, enhancing problem-solving abilities, fine motor skills, and socio-emotional competencies. A systematic sequence of activities, including introduction, material exploration, collage creation, and presentation with reflection, ensures optimal facilitation of the creative process. Evaluation through observation, documentation, interviews, and peer assessment demonstrated significant improvements in creativity, imagination, self-confidence, and learning motivation. These findings confirm that collage activities are not merely artistic exercises but serve as an effective educational strategy to support holistic development in early childhood.
