Penerapan Metode Bermain Peran dalam Mengembangkan Kemampuan Sosial Anak Usia Dini
Abstract
This study aims to examine in depth the implementation of the role-playing method in developing early childhood social skills. The research employed a qualitative approach using a literature study method by analyzing various relevant scientific sources, including books, journal articles, and previous research findings. The results indicate that early childhood social skills encompass communication, cooperation, empathy, prosocial behavior, self-regulation, and social adjustment, all of which develop gradually through interaction and experience. The role-playing method is characterized as imaginative, participatory, contextual, flexible, and process-oriented, thereby providing meaningful learning experiences for children. Its implementation, conducted through stages of planning, execution, and reflection, has proven effective in stimulating social interaction and helping children understand social roles and norms in a concrete manner. Therefore, role-playing can be considered a relevant and effective instructional strategy for fostering early childhood social skills in a holistic way.
