Peran Kegiatan Bernyanyi dalam Mengembangkan Bahasa Anak Usia Dini
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of singing activities in developing language skills in early childhood. Singing is considered an effective learning strategy because it simultaneously integrates linguistic, phonological, social, and emotional aspects. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study, analyzing various scholarly sources related to child language development, musical stimulation, and creative learning practices. The findings indicate that singing can enhance children’s vocabulary and sentence structure through word repetition, kinesthetic movements, group interactions, and individual singing practice. Moreover, rhythm, pitch, and intonation in songs support phonological development and pronunciation skills, while social interaction and emotional expression during singing strengthen pragmatic language skills, such as turn-taking, interpreting expressions, and adjusting responses according to context. Thus, singing is not merely a recreational activity but also a holistic, enjoyable, and effective learning medium, enabling children to develop comprehensive communication skills from an early age. These findings provide practical guidance for teachers and parents in designing creative and contextual language learning activities for young children.
