Pengaruh Kegiatan Finger Painting terhadap Kreativitas Anak Usia Dini
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of finger painting activities on early childhood creativity. Creativity is a crucial aspect of child development, encompassing the ability to think flexibly, originally, and expressively. However, in educational practice, the stimulation of creativity is often not optimal due to approaches that emphasize final outcomes rather than exploratory processes, as well as limited use of creative learning media. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, involving the collection and analysis of relevant literature related to children’s creativity and art-based activities. The findings indicate that finger painting significantly contributes to enhancing children’s creativity through direct, multisensory learning experiences. This activity encourages children to freely explore colors, shapes, and textures, thereby developing originality, flexibility, and elaboration. In addition, it positively impacts cognitive development, fine motor skills, and socio-emotional growth. Nevertheless, its effectiveness is strongly influenced by the role of educators and the learning environment. Therefore, finger painting can be considered an effective instructional strategy to foster early childhood creativity in a holistic manner.
