Abstract

The teaching of the Qur’an and Hadith in Early Childhood Education (ECE) requires strong integration between child development, play-based learning, and concrete experiences to ensure that spiritual values are understood meaningfully. This study highlights key challenges, including curriculum limitations and the lack of age-appropriate learning media, which often hinder the effective delivery of Islamic content. The use of audiovisual media emerges as an effective solution, as it enhances learning motivation, comprehension, and child engagement through multisensory stimulation. Furthermore, teacher readiness plays a critical role, encompassing mastery of the material, the ability to apply active learning strategies, and the provision of daily behavioral modeling. Overall, the effectiveness of Qur’an and Hadith learning in ECE depends on the synergy between integrated instructional approaches, media innovation, and teacher competence in creating enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences.
