Perkembangan Anak Menurut Pendidikan Islam: Analisis Konsep Tarbiyah, Ta’dib, dan Tahapan Pertumbuhan
Abstract
This study examines early childhood development in Islamic education through an integrated analysis of the concepts of tarbiyah, ta’dib, and age-appropriate developmental stages as outlined in the Qur’an and Hadith. The findings demonstrate that Islamic education views child development as a holistic and sequential process that encompasses cognitive, moral, social, and spiritual dimensions. The concept of tarbiyah emphasizes nurturing the child’s fitrah through gradual growth, environmental support, and consistent guidance, while ta’dib focuses on the formation of adab as the moral and ethical compass that directs the development of a child’s character and behavior. The study further reveals that aligning these Islamic principles with contemporary developmental theories strengthens the effectiveness of pedagogical practices in early childhood settings. Moreover, the readiness of teachers to design and implement an Islamic-based curriculum remains a crucial factor, highlighting the need for sustained professional development, adequate pedagogical resources, and supportive institutional policies. Overall, this study concludes that a holistic integration of Islamic educational principles and modern developmental frameworks provides a comprehensive foundation for fostering balanced and meaningful child development in early childhood Islamic education.
