Integrasi Metode Bermain dalam Pembelajaran PIAUD yang Berorientasi pada Nilai Islam
Abstract
This study examines the integration of play-based methods in Islamic Early Childhood Education (PIAUD) as a strategy to strengthen the internalization of Islamic values in young children. Value education in early childhood often remains conventional and teacher-centered, which does not align with children’s natural learning processes through direct experience and play. Using a qualitative design with a literature study approach, this research analyzes theoretical concepts, empirical findings, and pedagogical practices related to play-based learning within Islamic value education. The results show that play effectively fosters values such as honesty, cooperation, discipline, and proper manners by providing concrete, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experiences. Successful integration depends on teacher creativity, appropriate selection of play activities, and supportive curriculum and school environments. The main challenges include limited teacher competence in designing educational play. Overall, play-based methods are an essential strategy for strengthening Islamic value learning in PIAUD.
